About Penny
Gifted with an infectious and creative sense of humor, Penny is an entertaining speaker who loves to share her heart on hospitality, tea, etiquette and women’s ministry.
A graduate of the Academy of Etiquette & Protocol in Orlando, Florida, Penny is a Certified Etiquette Instructor and a Certified Tea & Etiquette Instructor. She is the Executive Director of the newly established Houston Academy of Etiquette & Protocol.
Penny is an authorized Tea & Etiquette© Consultant through Dorothea Johnson Productions, Inc. (founder of the Protocol School of Washington),a CLASS trained speaker and a Dale Carnegie Public Speaking graduate. She is a regular contributor to Tea in Texas magazine, where her creative tablescapes are featured.
An active member in her home church, Penny serves on the Women’s Ministry Team. Utilizing her spiritual gifts of administration, hospitality and teaching, she has facilitated numerous women’s Bible studies and coordinated many memorable events.
With a passion for the ministry of hospitality and a unique and creative approach to ministry, she has touched the hearts of many. She has worked with various women’s groups and churches to create events from small luncheons and afternoon teas to banquets and retreats. Penny has a heart for, and sensitivity to, the ministry that takes place at each event.
Penny’s unique perspective to hospitality and entertaining coupled with her gifts of creativity, organization, and attention to detail makes each event special and one to remember. It is her desire to mentor and inspire others to become confident hosts who are comfortable with sharing hospitality.
Penny has been married to her sweetheart and partner Terry since 1981. They have one daughter, Aaryn (Texas A&M Class of 2004 “whoop”) who is currently in pursuit of her PhD at LSU.
